Speaking & Media

Give me a microphone and something worth sharing.

I love the kind of conversation that makes people laugh, think, take notes, reconsider something they believed, and leave ready to do something differently.

Some audiences invite me to talk about taxes. Some about business, entrepreneurship, family, nonprofits, or financial stewardship. And sometimes we talk about what sits underneath all of it: faith, gratitude, purpose, resilience, leadership, and legacy.

Dr. Lilly Mbinglo speaking to an audience
Something useful. Something you can carry. That is always the goal.

The Way I Speak

Serious information can still feel human.

I take content seriously. But I do not believe serious information has to be delivered seriously every second. I want audiences engaged, laughing, responding, and asking questions. When I teach taxes, one of my favorite challenges is watching a room realize, “Wait...this is actually interesting.”

Whether I have twenty minutes or two hours, I work hard to make every minute valuable. Because people’s time matters.

My Secret Weapon

Gratitude changes what we see before it changes what we have.

Gratitude does not mean pretending life is perfect. It means refusing to let what is missing make us blind to what is already present. It has carried me through painful seasons, kept success in perspective, and made ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

I had the incredible privilege of taking that message to the TEDx stage. If you want to understand who I am beyond the CPA designation, this is a wonderful place to start.

“Sometimes the difference between a life that constantly feels insufficient and one that feels abundant is simply what we choose to notice.”

For Professional & Technical Audiences

Yes, I can bring the tax code too.

Some audiences need inspiration. Others need continuing education, technical depth, and practical instruction. Sometimes they need both. As a CPA, accounting educator, and tax strategist, I speak about tax planning, business entities, S corporations, partnerships, family employment, reasonable compensation, deductions, charitable giving, nonprofit taxation, reporting, ethics, and advisory.
